Marriot Marquis Chicago Parking

Parking is available at the new Marriott Marquis Chicago. See below for some parking options.

Valet:

  • 1 Hour - $20
  • 1-3 Hours - $23
  • 3-9 Hours - $29

Self-Parking Lot A:

  • 0-16 Hours - $23
  • 16-24 Hours - $36

The entrance to Lot A is at the corner of Cermak and Prairie.  From there the guests can either park on the second level and cross the street at the light to get to the entrance of the hotel, or go up to the third floor which you can access the hotel through the Sky Bridge.

McCormick Place Parking

McCormick Place parking can be purchased in advance of your visit. With a prepaid parking pass, you will receive express access to our closest parking facility to the West Building (Lot A). Included with your parking pass are customized point to point directions and a guarantee that your parking space will be waiting for you when you arrive. Pre-paid parking is available for all days of Star Wars Celebration. See below for directions to McCormick Place parking. Getting to McCormick Place is easy and convenient.

There are three main parking lots on the McCormick Place campus. All are in close proximity and walking distance to our convention complex.

Attendee and Exhibitor Pre-Paid Parking- A limited number of prepaid guaranteed parking spaces are available at the rate of $36 per day by advance order of an Attendee & Exhibitor Parking Permit. This permit allows access to the garages with in-and-out privileges. Parking spaces are guaranteed even if lots fill to capacity. Find out more here: mccormickplace.clickandpark.com.

Bus and RV Parking- Bus and RV Parking is available in Lot B which is an outdoor surface parking lot located at 31st Street near Lake Shore Drive South and Moe Drive. The parking rate is a flat fee of $35 per day with in-and-out privileges. This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is permitted. Reservations can be made at mccormickplace.clickandpark.com

Lot Locations

  • Events in the North, South and West Buildings designate Lot A as the primary parking location.
  • Events in Lakeside Center and Arie Crown Theater designate Lot C as the primary parking location.

McCormick Place Parking Lots

McCormick Place Parking Lot A

Contact information: Lot A - 312-567-8360 - lmccoy@spplus.com - (8' height clearance) is a six level garage with 2,100 parking spaces located on Martin Luther King Drive, adjacent to the West Building. Covered walkways from Lot A leading directly into McCormick Place and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also provide added convenience. The parking rate is $23 for up to 16 hours and $36 from 16 to 24 hours.* There are no in-and-out privileges. Overnight parking is available in Lot A only. Lost tickets will pay the $36 (overnight) fee per day.

From O’Hare International Airport (22 miles), Northwest or the North:   Follow I-190 East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From the West:  Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From Midway Airport (10 miles) or Southwest:  Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From the South or Indiana via I-80/94:  From I-80/94, exit at I-94 West (Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From Indiana-Skyway:  Take I-90 West (Indiana Tollway turns into the Chicago Skyway). Merge onto I-90/94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit at I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From North Lake Shore Drive (US-41):  From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st Street and turn right (West). Turn right again on Martin L. King Drive. Turn left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.

From South Lake Shore Drive (US-41):  From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st Sreet. and turn left (West). Turn right on Martin L. King Drive. Turn left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.

From Congress Parkway:  From Congress Parkway, turn right onto Michigan Avenue Proceed south to Cermak Road. (E. 22nd Street). Turn left on Cermak Road, to Martin Luther King Drive. Follow signs to Lot A.

McCormick Place Parking Lot B

Contact information: Lot B/Truck Marshalling -  312-808-3125 - rmemisovski@spplus.com - (also known as 31st Street Lot) is an outdoor surface parking lot located at 31st Street near Lake Shore Drive South and Moe Drive. It holds over 1,800 vehicles. The parking rate is a flat fee of $15 per day with no in-and-out privileges.* This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.

From Downtown Chicago:  Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

From I-55 (Stevenson) Expressway:  Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

From I-90/94 (Kennedy/Edens) Expressway:  Proceed South on I-90/94 to I-55 (Stevenson Expressway). Proceed East on I-55 to Lake Shore Drive. Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

From I-290 (Eisenhower) Expressway:  Proceed East on Congress Parkway to Columbus Drive. Proceed South on Columbus Drive, which will merge into Lake Shore Drive. Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

From Northbound Lake Shore Drive:  Exit at 31st Street and make a left turn at the traffic light. Proceed and go to the next traffic light. Make an immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

From 31st Street:  Proceed East on 31st Street to Moe Drive, that is the McCormick Place service drive immediately West of the 31st Street exit on Lake Shore Drive. Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

McCormick Place Parking Lot C

Contact information: Lot C - 312-567-8152 - ltbrown@spplus.com -  (6'4" height clearance) is an underground garage with 1,900 parking spaces and is located on Ft. Dearborn Drive, adjacent to the Lakeside Center. The parking rate is a flat fee of $23 per day with no in-and-out privileges.* This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.

* Credit Cards are accepted at the parking pay stations. 

From O’Hare International Airport (22 miles), Northwest or the North: Follow I-190 East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.

From the West:  Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.

From Midway Airport (10 Miles) or Southwest:  Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to Lake Shore Drive South. Exit at 31st Street and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.

From the South or Indiana via I-80/94From I-80/94, exit at I-94 West (Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). McCormick Place is now connected to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) via both city bus and elevated train.

By CTA Rail Connections "L" Trains

Cermak-McCormick Place Green Line Station: The nearest CTA rail station is located at the intersection of Cermak Road and State Street, 2 blocks (0.15 mile) from the northwest corner of the McCormick Place West Building - Gate 41- located at Cermak Road and Indiana Ave.

Fare and Frequency: A one-way fare on the L train is $2.25 (Additional fare if coming directly from O’Hare Airport). Fare cards can be purchased at the station and collected prior to boarding the platform. To learn more about the CTA fare card system, visit Ventra Card. On average, Green line trains operate approximately on an 11 minute frequency from 5 a.m. to Midnight. Review the station timetable for additional information.

Riding the CTA to and from McCormick Place: CTA "L" Train routes our designated by colors and terminating stations. When traveling to McCormick Place from the downtown Loop, make sure to enter the southbound Green Line Cottage Grove or Ashland/63rd Branch trains as indicated on the platform and train display cards. When returning to the Loop from McCormick Place use the northbound platform marked "Harlem/Lake".

Optional Cermak #21 Bus Transfer: For an additional $.25 transfer fare, Green Line riders transfer to an East bound Cermak Road #21 Bus located directly below the station platform on Cermak Road. As an alternative option to walking, The #21 bus stops directly in front of McCormick Place.

Connections to Other Trains, Airports: Metra Train and CTA Bus Map - The CTA Green Line Route offers convenient citywide connections to the Loop and free transfers to many other "L" lines including the Blue Line - O’Hare Airport branch and the Orange Line - Midway Airport branch. The Green Line also offers near-direct connection to suburban METRA train stations servicing the North and Western Suburbs via Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Amtrak - via the Clinton Green Line stop.

Taking the CTA from the Airports: The CTA "L" trains provide service to Downtown Chicago and McCormick Place from both international airports.  Metra Train and CTA Bus Map

From O'Hare International Airport: The CTA "Blue" line provides service to and from the airport. Take the Blue Line from O’Hare and transfer to a south-bound Green Line train at Clark and Lake. Note, in the Loop the Blue Line is a Subway Train and the Green Line is an elevated train, a free transfer is available at Clark and Lake.

From Midway Airport: The CTA "Orange" line provides service to and from the airport. Take the train to the Roosevelt Street Station (Subway) and transfer to the elevated Green Line Station. Continue on the southbound Green Line train for 1-stop to the Cermak-McCormick Place station.

The Cermark-McCormick Place Station is 2 block (0.15 miles) walk from the Northwest Corner of the McCormick Place West Building.

By Bus

Bus Connections: Getting to McCormick Place is possible by using the city transit system. The Chicago Transit Authority provides the following bus service and runs approximately every 15 minutes. Drop off is located at the main entrance to the South Building on Martin Luther King Drive.

The #3 King Drive bus is the most common bus route to McCormick Place as it runs north/south along Michigan Avenue serving many downtown hotels and the Magnificent Mile and Water Tower Place. The McCormick Place stop is located at 2301 S. King Drive, Chicago and is in front of our main entrance.

One-way bus fare is $2.00 and it is recommended to pre-purchase a Ventra card prior to using the bus system.

METRA Rail Connection: Located on Level 2.5 of the Grand Concourse in the South Building, the METRA Electric commuter railroad provides direct service within seven minutes to and from downtown Chicago. Service from the Millennium (Randolph St.) Station (near the Fairmont Hotel) to McCormick Place begins early morning, with more frequent pick-ups during rush hours.

Shuttle connections (via CTA bus) can be made to the METRA system at Chicago Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center and LaSalle Street Station. METRA services the Midwest as far north as Kenosha, Wisconsin; northwest to Fox Lake and Harvard; west to Elgin, Geneva and Aurora; southwest to Joliet and Orland Park; south to University Park; and east to South Bend, Indiana. By Taxi

Taxi Services: More than 5,800 city taxis are at your service in Chicago. Facility direction signs and personnel at the Concierge Desk will direct attendees to gates that are designated for your event.

Shared Taxi Program: There is a Shared Ride Program available for those flying into O'Hare and Midway and taking a cab from one of these airports to either McCormick Place or downtown.

Transportation Network Providers (Ridesharing Program):  A Transportation Network Provider (TNP) company, also referred to as a “rideshare” company, provides prearranged transportation services for compensation through an Internet-enabled application or digital platform connecting passengers with drivers of vehicles for hire.  TNP Pickup Locations at McCormick Place

"CHICABS" offers options for taxicab passengers to electronically hail (E-Hail) a taxicab through a mobile app. CHICABS approved apps also let passengers electronically pay (E-Pay) for the taxicab fare through the app. Download "Curb" from your favorite App Store. Click "Arro" for the Arro App site.

"Lyft" and "Uber" are licensed TNP companies with the City of Chicago. Download their application(s) from your favorite App Store.

Bike Racks / Divvy Bike Sharing Program: McCormick Place has several public bike racks located around the facility. Please view the Bike Rack Locations map to choose the rack closest to your venue.

Divvy Bike Program: McCormick Place is part of the City of Chicago Bike Sharing System called Divvy. A 24-hour pass can be purchased at at Divvy Bike station for day of unlimited 30-minute trips. Bikes can be reserved and dropped off at any Divvy station around the city, including the station located in McCormick Square - 2301 S. King Drive.
