Punjab Police has arrested a Khalistani supporter and Malaysian woman Kulbir Kaur who is accused of funding terror activities in the state.

Kulbir Kaur was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Thursday night as soon as her flight landed from Malaysia. She was produced in court on Friday evening and was remanded to six-day police custody.

Police had issued a lookout notice against Kulbir Kaur after her involvement was found in a terror incident reported in Batala district on May 31, 2018.

In 2018, police had arrested three radicalised Sikh youths from several places in Batala district. The three youths set fire several shops including two liquor stalls located in Panjgariyan and Harpura Dhandhoi villages on Hargobindpur road.

They did it on the directions of Kulbir Kaur, Sikhs for Justice activist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, Paramjit Singh Pamma and Man Singh, who are all Khalistani terrorists.

During interrogation, the youths had revealed that Kulbir Kaur along with other Khalistani terrorists wanted to fund separatist activities and terrorism in Punjab.

The three youths were being provided logistic support including the weapons, transport and money to spread terror.

For this, the accused Kulbir Kaur was not only funding the referendum 2020 but was also sending money to the gullible unemployed Punjab youths to terrorise locals.

Batala police hopes that the interrogation of Kulbir Kaur will throw more light on the separatist activities in Punjab and will expose the black sheep who are involved in anti-national activities in the name of religion and demand for a separate homeland.
