Digital Pride is the only global pride dedicated to enabling everyone to be part of a pride, whoever they are and wherever they live in the world.

This year’s Digital Pride is calling on the LGBTI world to challenge the loneliness and isolation epidemic our community faces – by talking about the issue and informing us to change the way we look after each other.

Loneliness affects your mental health and leaves you more vulnerable to long term health conditions.

The problem of isolation is bigger for the LGBTI community. Our community's older people have experienced social exclusion in less tolerant times and places. Because many of us couldn’t, or still can’t, get married or even live freely – we’re more likely to be lonely and isolated.

This year we're working with activists, influencers, brands and celebrities to tell stories about loneliness and create an international conversation.

Join our action, by reaching out to someone you know and let them know you are thinking about them. Then ask them to pass on the message, 'you are not alone.' Let's see how long it takes to get back to you.

Digital Pride takes place on Gay Star News April 29 to May 5, 2019.
