What are we doing?
We are moving to digital referrals only, utilising the NHS e-Referral Service (ERS). We have already gone live with Genetics on 6 August. Our remaining specialties, listed below, will go live by 3 September 2018.

Why are we doing this?
The Standard Contract for 2018/19 mandates full use of the NHS e-Referral Service (i.e. electronic booking) for all consultant-led first outpatient appointments following a GP referral. This means all GOSH referral activity needs to come via e-RS*. Failure to do so will result in non-payment for any first outpatient attendance.
*Some exclusions apply.
