🏁 #FlashbackFriday to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix last weekend! Shout out to all of our amazing volunteers, as well as the F1 teams who offered patients and families garage tours 😎 It was a great weekend and £24,000 was raised for GOSH Charity!
“As part of my degree I did a bit of research around music therapy for pain relief, but even as a distraction technique it’s good. I think music speaks to everyone’s soul. When kids and families are going through the toughest time it just brings a bit of normality and joy.”
This week, GOSH nurse Beth caused a online sensation after a video of her singing McFly’s ‘It’s All About You’ for patient Artie was filmed and posted across social media by Artie’s mum, Gemma. The clip ...even gained attention from the band members themselves!
Twelve of Beth's colleagues from across Lion and Giraffe wards at GOSH, will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro next year in the hopes of raising £50,000 to support the haematology and oncology wards at the hospital.
