I was wondering one day why I was paying so much for digital cable, when all it gave me was twice as many pointless channels as regular cable.
But that all changed after catching a night of comedy on BBCAmerica and the most outstanding show I've seen in years, 'The Royle Family'.
You didn't have to grow up in London to instantly be drawn to these characters. Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash have created a show that is not only hysterically funny, but is written and acted so well that even with just 6 episodes you become part of the family.
With such a perfect mixture of comedy and drama, I am crossing my fingers for a second series sometime soon.
