Someone call Merriam-Webster, because there's a new word that needs to be added to the dictionary ASAP.
Nicole Gugliucci tweeted the term "hepeating" on Friday, defined as, "when a woman suggests an idea and it's ignored, but then a guy says same thing and everyone loves it."
I mean... if you're a woman and that didn't resonate with your very soul, you might be in denial. (Or you might work in the best office ever and should never, ever leave. Never.)
The tweet has over 65,000 retweets and 200,000 likes, so it's obviously "hepeating" is a real and overwhelming phenomenon/problem.
One woman came up with an idea for how ladies can help stop other ladies from getting hepeated on:
YES! It's time to go out there and stop hepeating, one hepeater at a time! We can do this! (Also, dudes, this is mainly on you, so check yourselves before you hebeat yourselves. Or something. Just watch out for it and don't do it! Thank you in advance for being a decent person.)
