About CDC’s Emails and Text Messages (SMS) Subscription Service

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is happy to offer a subscription service, which makes it easier for you to learn more about different topics including MMWR, Flu, HIV, Zika and more at CDC. With a subscription profile, you will receive the updated information on items of interest to you. Message frequency varies and re-occurring messages will be sent from most topics.

For users opting for e-mail newsletters, the service is free.

For users opting for text message updates, message and data rates may apply.

Text Messages (Wireless Alerts)

In addition to sending email updates, CDC offers wireless or short message service (SMS) alerts for cell phones, pagers, and other text message enabled devices. When signing up for a topic, choose between email or SMS/Text Message.
