Naval History and Heritage Command

April 6, 2017, marks the 100th anniversary of the United States' declaration of war against Germany and the U.S. decision to join allied forces in the "War to End All Wars." Throughout the remainder of 2017 and nearly all of 2018, the Naval History and Heritage Command will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Navy's experiences in World War I. In doing so, our goal is to honor the history and heritage of the U.S. Navy during World War I.

From this section you will be able to access and download photographs, publications, and other resources covering various aspects of the Navy's experiences during the war. We will also provide information pertaining to the commemoration efforts of World War I at our various museums across the United States. We will continue to add material associated with operations in the Great War to this toolkit as our commemorative efforts continue.
