    All unescorted visitors to the National Flight Academy, National Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola Lighthouse and Fort Barrancas, who do not possess valid DoD identification, will be required to enter Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola via the West gate, located at 1878 South Blue Angel Parkway.     PRESERVING THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF NAVAL AVIATION

    The National Naval Aviation Museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most-visited museums in the state of Florida. Share the excitement of Naval Aviation’s rich history and see more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum’s nearly 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds.

    There’s so much to see and do, you’ll want to stay all day! Admission is free! Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s. For more information, call 1-800-327-5002.

    Important Notes for Visitors

    • Visitors (16 years and older) to the National Naval Aviation Museum must have valid photo identification and all bags are subject to search.
    • All visitors to the National Naval Aviation Museum, Fort Barrancas or the Pensacola Lighthouse, who do not possess a Department of Defense identification card or are not escorted by the holder of a Department of Defense identification card will be required to enter AND exit Naval Air Station Pensacola through the West Gate off Blue Angel Parkway (1878 S Blue Angel Pkwy).     • Visitors to NAS Pensacola who are not in possession of an approved government issued credential or state driver’s license compliant with the Real ID Act of 2005 must present an additional form of ID. State driver’s licenses from Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico, Washington and identification cards from American Samoa are non-compliant with the Real ID Act.     • What forms of identification are acceptable to get on base?
      Driver’s License, Passport, Voter Registration, School ID, Native American
      Tribal Document, Federal, State or local issued ID Card. Visit NAS Pensacola website for more information, click here,
    • An international passport is required for non-U.S. Citizen visitors to access Naval Air Station Pensacola.
    • Ride share services such as Lyft and Uber are not allowed on NAS Pensacola. Standard taxi services are allowed to enter the base via the West Gate provided the taxi driver has a valid base pass.
    • Interest in attending Blue Angels practice airshows is extremely high and the museum parking lot quickly reaches full capacity, at which time the back gate WILL CLOSE to all non-Department of Defense visitors. It is highly recommended that you arrive by 9:30 AM if you plan on viewing the Blue Angels or it is possible that you will not be allowed access. Practice airshows are subject to cancellation without prior notice.
