NHMRC schemes
The University was awarded 139 grants totalling $78.8 million by the NHMRC, of which $60.3 million was allocated to 98 project grants and $18.5 million to fellowships and other awards.

Medical Research Future Fund
The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) is a $20 billion vehicle for investment in health and medical research. It represents the single largest boost to research funding in Australia’s history. It will support research and innovation activities with the objective of improving the health and wellbeing of Australians.
The University’s business development team provides researchers at Melbourne with a range of services that support the academic community to engage with industry, pursue research sponsorship and tender opportunities, develop contract research proposals as well as protect and commercialise intellectual assets.
