How will my order be delivered?

Delivery options vary depending on what material you are ordering.

Document scan/photocopy, large format photocopies, print and transcripts

  • Download
    • The copy you request will be posted on the National Library's website in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view PDF files. This is a free program available from the Adobe web site.
    • We will send you an email when the copy is ready, with a link to the web site to allow you to download it.
    • If the file is extremely large we may need to deliver on CD, we will contact you if this is the case.
  • Post
    • The copy you ordered will be posted to the address provided in the order.
  • Collect from Library
    • The copy you request will be available for collection from the Main Reading Room at the National Library.

Photographic quality digital images/prints

  • Download
    • The copy you request will be delivered as TIFF via FTP.
  • Post
  • Post on CD
    • The copy you ordered will be posted to the address provided in the order.
  • Collect from Library
  • Collect from Library on CD
    • The copy you request will be available for collection from the Main Reading Room at the National Library.
  • Email small documents only (JPEG)
    • The JPEG copy you ordered will be sent via email as an attachment.
    • Images sent by email will be in JPEG format only and can be up to 2MB (2000KB) in size. Check with your email provider if you are able to receive attachments of this size. Only one image can be sent per email.

Audio copies

  • Post on CD
  • Collect from Library on CD
    • The copy you ordered will be sent to the address provided on this form or collected by you from the National Library’s Main Reading Room.

Material sourced from another library (interlibrary loans)

The loan you request can only be used in the reading rooms of the National Library.
