The Australia Awards Scholarships and Fellowships have been important parts of the Australian Government’s overseas aid program since the 1950s.
These programs provide opportunities for individuals to undertake higher education and training in Australia to improve growth and development in their own regions.

The entitlements include a once only establishment allowance payment of $5000, tuition fees, contribution to living expenses ($30,000 per year), Overseas Student Health Cover, travel to Australia, fieldwork travel, reunion airfare (eligibility criteria applies), supplementary academic support and return home travel.
