Research Services Partner & Collaborate Management of Research Commercialisation
Management of Research Commercialisation
In order to maximise the translation and impact of our researchers' innovative ideas into products and services for industry and society, JCU has established an Innovation and Commercialisation program.
The Innovation and Commercialisation team offers advice to researchers on intellectual property protection and commercialisation of research outcomes, in addition to delivering education and training to university staff, through seminars and workshops to develop awareness and knowledge of commercialisation processes and industry engagement. "Bridging the Gap" is a commercial proof-of-concept fund that researchers can access to advance development of technologies where commercial partners have expressed an interest in acquiring the technology.
If you have an invention, discovery, design, software or other research output that you believe has the potential to be commercialised, please contact the Innovation and Commercialisation team on (07) 4232 1783 or (07) 4781 6458
If you have developed the research output under pre-existing arrangements with an industry partner or other third party, please contact the Director of Research Services, Rochelle Finlay on (07) 4781 6538.
