Current Students Fees & Financial Support Pay your fees
Pay your fees
Make sure you pay your fees by the Payment Due Date. If you don't and have not deferred your fees, your enrolment will be cancelled or penalised. View penalties for unpaid fees and late withdrawals.
STEP 1: Know the Payment Due Date
Your fees are due during each study period or trimester. You need to ensure both your subject fees and SSA Fees are paid by the Payment Due Date so your enrolment doesn't get cancelled. You can view the Payment Due Dates on the important dates website.
STEP 2: Pay subject fees and your SSA Fee
Log in to eStudent, click on the ‘My Finances’ tab,
To pay your subject fees, select 'Student Contribution' OR 'Tuition Fee' from the left hand menu and PAY your subject fees by Visa/MasterCard.
To pay your SSA Fee, select 'Administrative/SSA Fee payment' from the left hand menu and PAY your SSA Fee by credit/debit card.
Other payment methods
Following the two steps above is the preferred payment method; however you can use your fee statement to pay through other methods. Log in to eStudent, click on 'My finances' and select 'Email my Statement of Account for the last 30 days'. Use this statement to pay:
Online via Australia Post by credit card, paypal account or BPAY
In person: Take your payment slip to any Australia Post Agency and pay by EFTPOS, cash, cheque or credit card. You can also pay by credit/debit card at the Student Centre.
Phone: Call Australia Post on 13 18 16 and pay by credit card.
Mail: Make your cheque payable to James Cook University and mail it with payment slip or Student ID details to: Student Centre, James Cook University, Townsville QLD 4811.
Using Foreign Currency: To avoid bank fees and exchange rate fluctuations, pay in your currency using the JCU Payment Portal – https://student.globalpay.wu.com/geo-buyer/jcu
