The Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump is getting the Bollywood treatment.

The Hindi-language project was recently unveiled at a media event in Mumbai, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The musical remake will be titled Lal Singh Chadha and star Indian acting titan Aamir Khan. Bollywood veteran Advait Chandan has signed on to direct.

Khan told reporters he had long wanted to do this film, saying, “I have always loved Forrest Gump as a script. It is a wonderful story about this character. It is a feel-good film. It is a film for the whole family.

The reimagining of Norman Lear's classic sitcom of the same name was produced by Sony Picture, not Netflix. "We've made the very difficult decision not to renew One Day At A Time for a fourth season.
