Kane Brown Talks Singing With Brooks & Dunn, His Friendship With Jason Aldean & More: Watch

Kane Brown stopped to chat with Billboard’s Keith Caulfield on the red carpet at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 10), discussing his recent performance with Brooks & Dunn, his upcoming tour with Jason Aldean, and whether or not fans can ever expect a musical collaboration from Brown and his wife Katelyn.

The country star first dished on covering Brooks & Dunn's “Believe” with the superstar duo themselves. “It was very nerve-wracking," Brown said of the performance. "It was amazing, because that song meant so much to me when I was a kid. So to be a part of it, and kind of bring it back to life a little bit, it was a dream come true.”

Though the performance went smoothly, Brown recalled a moment that could've made things a little awkward for all involved: Right before they were going to sing, Brooks & Dunn's Ronnie Dunn handed Brown the wrong lyrics. “I handed them back to him, I was like, ‘What is this?’ And he looked at them, he was like, ‘Oh, it's not even my song…I should have remembered that.’”

Brown also chatted about his upcoming tour with Jason Aldean, which kicks off in May. A longtime friend of Jason's, Brown called Aldean his “big brother,” revealing that they watch every University of Georgia game together, and he calls Aldean if he ever needs advice. “He's always been there for me,” the "Heaven" singer added. “He's my guy.”

Brown's wife Katelyn wasn't in tow for his interview, but soon enough, she may be part of his musical career. Kane's fans know that Katelyn is a great singer as well, and he's eager to record a song with his Mrs. "She's gotta get over her stage fright," he joked. "She'll come around!”
