Pusha T, Vince Staples and More React to Knicks-Mavericks Trade: 'Oh My'
The New York Knicks traded Kristaps Porzingis, among other players, to the Dallas Mavericks, and Twitter has some thoughts.
According to Knicks president Steve Mills, Porzingis told him and general manager Scott Perry that he "no longer wanted to be a part of our group." "We feel like we did the right thing," said Mills on a conference call Thursday night (Jan. 31) via ESPN. "When you try to think about how you want to build your team for the long term, you don't want to commit a max [contract] to a player who clearly says to you he doesn't want to be here. That would be a disservice for our organization and disservice to our fans."
The Knicks also traded away Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee and Trey Burke. In return, they recieved Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews and future draft picks from the Mavericks.
Celebrities like Pusha T and Vince Staples quickly reacted to the trade on social media. Check out a few of the responses below.
