'Marshall From Detroit' Trailer Shows Eminem's Version Of Detroit Through Virtual Reality

Through a dark, snowy car ride, Eminem is seen on the trailer for Marshall From Detroit talking about his hometown of Detroit, and why he still chooses to live there despite reaching super stardom and having the means to live elsewhere.

The 21-minute long film will premiere at The Sundance Film Festival. The documentary style project explores Eminem’s life in the city through his eyes and virtual reality. Directed by Caleb Slain, the film is created by  Felix and Paul Studios, whom specialize in virtual reality content creation.

By using virtual reality, the filmmakers hope this will create a unique way for audiences to see Eminem's story come to life. “Our idea was to extend the blanket of intimacy offered by VR beyond the once-in-a-lifetime ride with Marshall and introduce you to a more mystic version of Detroit you could never see for yourself,” Slain told Variety. “We wanted to take the ‘reality’ out of VR and cook it down into something more unreal, but also truthful.”

According to Complex, Marshall From Detroit will debut on Saturday (Jan 26) as part of the New Frontiers program at Sundance.

Bad Bunny Disrupts Gender Norms In Colorful Visual For "Caro"

Bad Bunny is an artist in every sense of the word. Amid his Latin trap sensibilities paired with high fashion style, the 24-year-old rapper is able to create a record about the drug game, pretty girls and his taste for the finer things in life while still making a socially conscious statement. The new visuals for "Caro" off his debut album X 1OOPRE is a great example of that.

Through colorful backdrops found inside of a pink mansion, Bad Bunny pushes all of the boundaries. At first glance, he's seen getting a manicure inside a cutesy room, then he suddenly transforms into a woman who looks just like him. She replaces him and lip-syncs the boastful lyrics of a lavish lifestyle in conjunction with having all of the agency to do whatever is pleasing.

Within this spectrum, drag queens to pregnant women make cameos in the video. Through this presentation, Bad Bunny (born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) is making a case for gender fluidity and self-acceptance. In the end, he kisses his female look-a-like, seemingly alluding that one can pull from both the female and male gender as a form of expression. On Tuesday (Jan. 22), he also used his Twitter platform to denounce homophobia.

Premiere: K'ron Releases Visual For "No BFs Outro"

K'Ron brings the heat with his latest song, "No BFs Outro." Released Friday ( Jan. 24), the brand new video takes inspiration from his  Wild Lova Vol. 1 EP that dropped in October 2018.

Starting off the track strong with the R&B-infused vocals of Ty Dolla $ign, who rooms "No boyfriends allowed up in this party," sets the scene for the red and blue-tinted video. The 24-year-old finds himself infatuated with a woman in a relationship, and when she begins to flirt back, it sparks issues with her current boyfriend. The blonde-haired vixen eventually runs off with the singer/songwriter, much to her boyfriend's dismay. After pulling up to the hotel to confront them, a "To Be Continued" sign ends the video.

Taking influence from Static Major and T-Pain, K'Ron has created his own sound which has allowed him to write for artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Omarion, Diggy Simmons, and ELHAE. He is currently releasing a Wild Lova short film via REVOLT, which debuted Jan. 18. The "No BFs Outro" video is apart of that segment and its last installment will premiere February 1.

If you are feeling the new track and are looking for more, don't fret; the “Round of Applause” artist will return with a new single "Slo Mo” to bring in good vibes for Valentine's Day.

Watch K'ron encourage a Boyfriend free-zone in the video above.
