After leaving their prior label last year amid turmoil surrounding their relationship, K-pop stars HyunA and E’Dawn have found a new home under Psy’s newly-founded P Nation.

On Sunday (Jan. 27), Psy shared the news through his Instagram account, revealing pictures of the pair with red thumbs, indicative of them putting their seals on a contract as per is typical in South Korea, and group shots of HyunA, E’Dawn and the “Gangnam Style” artist himself.

HyunA (Kim Hyunah), one of South Korea’s most prominent soloists and a former member of girl group 4Minute, and E’Dawn (Kim Hyojong), a rising songwriter formerly of boy band Pentagon, joined Psy’s label after leaving Cube Entertainment in late 2018.

The pair departed Cube following a series of public back-and-forths between the company’s management and the duo after they publicized their relationship following the label denying it.

E’Dawn and Hyuna most recently released the album Retro Futurism with Pentagon’s Hui under the name Triple H. During its promotional appearances, she had been criticized for excessively touching him on stage, and the duo had gone public with their relationship amid the allegations despite Cube. Cube initially fired them, but then rescinded its announcement later the same day amid outrage and a dip in their stock price to further discuss. The pair and company ultimately parted ways. The situation resulted in numerous conversations and debates about the restrictions, from fans and companies alike, on K-pop stars to not publicize their romantic relationships.

The pair joins Korean-American rapper Jessi under Psy’s entertainment company, which was announced last week.

P Nation has yet to announce plans for new music from any of its artists.
