Former Adjunct Aviation Accident Law Professor, Ronald L. M. Goldman, is a private pilot, John Greaves is an airline-transport pilot and served as a captain of a major airline, and Timothy Loranger is a pilot and former jet aircraft mechanic. Paul Hedlund has a degree in mechanical engineering and Ilyas Akbari has a bioengineering degree. In addition to Ronald Goldman, Clark Aristei, Diane Marger Moore, and Mark Schlein (also a former S.W.A.T. commander and deputy sheriff) were also adjunct law professors prior to joining Baum Hedlund.
Baum Hedlund’s staff has the experience and education to effectively handle complex cases from intake to resolution. Our attorneys have been appointed to 23 plaintiff steering committees in mass tort litigation that manage complex multi-district litigation arising from airline and train disasters, pharmaceutical drug defects and construction failures. We have successfully defeated many defendants, including major airlines, rail organizations, pharmaceutical companies and even the federal government, in their attempts to argue that federal law preempted our clients’ claims in aviation accidents, trains disasters and drug product liability cases.
