Professor of Law and Global Studies

Hakeem Yusuf is Professor of Law and Global Studies at the University of Derby's Law School. He was awarded the prestigious John T Saywell Prize for Canadian Constitutional Legal History in 2015 by the Osgoode Society of Canadian Legal History.

Dr Shuge Zhang is a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Derby. Shuge is a member of the Human Sciences Research Centre (HSRC). His research centres on personality and individual differences in performance and health.

Phil is a lecturer in policing (research methods) specialising in teaching academic research skills, social research methods, and evidence-based policing for policing students.

As a Researcher in the Environmental Sustainability Research Centre, Dr Williams investigates wild birds and their diseases. He asks questions like "How is environmental change driving the evolution of bird pathogens?" He uses field sampling, molecular screening, ecological niche modelling, and phylogenetic analyses, to understand how patterns of disease distribution and phylogeny change.
