Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif finally decided to bury the hatchet and let bygones be bygones as they partied it up at the former's wedding reception in Mumbai. It was a known fact that the two ladies were not the best of friends, considering their past relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. However, things took a turn for the better when Kat honoured Deepika and Ranveer Singh's invite to their wedding reception and took their new found friendship a step ahead by following each other on social media.

Speaking about the new equation they share, Deepika said in a recent interview that a lot of water has flown under that bridge and that the fact that Katrina came to her reception was “very present was gracious.”

Deepika went on to reveal that she has “always been fond of her.”

She went on to add that she has a lot of respect for Katrina and her work over the years and laid the record straight, saying, “I made my peace with her."

Deepika Padukone is now of the biggest actresses in the film industry. She made her debut eleven years ago in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’, which was the perfect platform for her career. However, the actress never ceases to work. According to reports, she was recently present in Chennai for a brand endorsement. She spoke at length about women-centric films being made. The actress said that she felt that Bollywood is getting a bit repetitive in terms with regard to films about women as the industry has witnessed a change in the way women are looked at and that roles are being written for them.

Speaking about biopics, she reportedly said that there are too many biopics being made. She added that in the last few days she has lost the count on the number of biopics that were offered to actors and said that there is no end to the struggles being told and that even a common man faces the same struggle at some point of time.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s alleged love story and their ugly break-up that followed has not been hidden from the world. Though both seem to have moved on in their respective lives, reports of them trying to get back together keep cropping up every now and then. However, if Deepika’s past interview is something to go by, it is not happening ever.

According to the reports, opening up on Ranbir Kapoor’s infidelity, Deepika said that she has never cheated or strayed when she was in a relationship. But when Ranbir did, she was apparently foolish enough to give him a second chance. Later, then came a time when she actually caught him red-handed and then there was no going back.

Elaborating further, the actress added that when the first time he cheated on her, she thought maybe something is wrong with her. But when someone is making a habit of it, you know the problem lies with him. According to Dippy, infidelity is a deal breaker in a relationship for her and it is something that no one can fool around with.

Deepika is currently in a rumoured relationship with Ranveer Singh and the couple is reportedly all set to tie the knot in November this year.
