YouTube Creators for Change is a global initiative that supports creators like you – creators who are tackling social issues and promoting awareness, tolerance and empathy on their YouTube channels. Because no matter what kind of videos we make, we all have the power to help create the world we want.

Last year’s Ambassador explored social issues important to them in their social impact project videos as part of the program. Highly personal but reaching beyond borders, their stories have the power to change hearts and minds for their highly engaged audience.

YouTube Creators for Change launched in 2016, and since then social impact videos have been viewed over 60M+ times, we reached 731K total watch time hours, and trained nearly 15,000 young people at over 200 locations.

Australia
In Australia, YouTube has joined with VICE and the Foundation for Young Australians to launch #ShareSomeGood, a campaign focused on helping people counter hate speech.

In France, the "Toi-même Tu filmes" program is bringing together hundreds of creators who have produced a total of 140 videos building solidarity and fighting hate speech.

YouTube creators from all across Germany have joined forces under #NichtEgal (which means "it matters") in a movement dedicated to countering online hate.

In Indonesia, YouTube creators Cameo Project and local nonprofit Maarif Institute train students across the country to create change through video under the campaign #1nDONEsia.

In Israel, creators explore ethnic, cultural & religious differences through encounters with activists representing diverse identities in the award-nominated series #Ovdim_Al_Ze.

In Spain, YouTube has partnered with the Spanish government to create Somos Más, an educational program dedicated to fighting violent radicalization and hate speech.
