Chemical Sector Security Summit

The biennial Chemical Sector Security Summit is an industry-wide networking and educational event co-sponsored each year by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council (SCC). The Summit features information vital for chemical security and brings together key government and industry stakeholders with a shared vision to enhance our nation’s chemical security.

Chemical Security Analysis Center

DHS established the Chemical Security Analysis Center (CSAC) to assess and identify vulnerabilities and respond to potential chemical threats and hazards to the homeland.

Jack Rabbit II Project

How do I gain access to HSIN-CI?

Interested individuals should contact hsinci@dhs.gov, with a request for nomination that includes a name, company, and email address. Email addresses must match the company name. Email addresses from public ISPs, such as AOL, Google Mail, or Yahoo, will not be accepted. Once nominated, registrants will receive an electronic link to an application for completion.

Suspicious Activity Reporting Tool

This tool is a standardized means by which critical infrastructure partners can report suspicious or unusual activities to the government via sector sites on the Homeland Security Information Network - Critical Infrastructure.

Chemical Risk Management Self-Assessment Model

The Chemical Risk Management Self-Assessment Model (Chem-SAM) is a voluntary chemical risk management tool developed by Sandia National Laboratories’ International Chemical Threat Reduction Department, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State. Chem-SAM, designed for small and medium chemical facilities and laboratories, allows security officers and managers to evaluate security risks, support risk management decision-making, and provide better risk communication in chemical facilities by providing an assessment method that is standardized, systematic, and replicable.
