What does it cost to be a Chronicle Member?

Membership comes at no additional cost to your paid subscription to the San Francisco Chronicle.

What’s the Chronicle subscription and Membership cancellation policy?

Membership offers are available on-demand as long as you are a subscriber but you may choose to unsubscribe from promotional emails if you do not wish to receive these offers. Your subscription will continue until you contact us to change or cancel it. You may change or cancel your subscription at any time by calling Customer Service at 800-310-2455 or emailing membership@sfchronicle.com. Upon cancellation, any outstanding balance will be refunded based on the method of your last payment.

Can I access my digital subscription on more than one computer, smartphone or tablet?

An SFChronicle.com subscription entitles you and four additional family members to each enjoy five separate logins. Each of those logins can access SFChronicle.com via five different browsers or devices at a time. Go here and follow the steps to create additional logins.

Can I share the username and password associated with my Chronicle subscription and Membership?

An SFChronicle.com subscription entitles you and four additional family members to each enjoy five separate logins to access SFChronicle.com. However, because Membership offers and events have limited capacity we ask that each subscribing household place only one order per event. Don’t worry, we have many events that allow you to reserve up to five tickets per order.

How do I change the email address that’s associated with my subscription?

Once you have digitally activated your subscription, you can manage your account at our Subscriber Services website. If you haven't already done so, please visit the site to register your account.

I don't have a newspaper subscription, but I did purchase the San Francisco Chronicle App for iPad® and iPhone® from iTunes®. Do I qualify for access to SFChronicle.com and Membership offers?

San Francisco Chronicle App-only customers paying through their iTunes®/Apple ID account will need to subscribe to SFChronicle.com to have access to our premium website and special Membership offers. Visit SFChronicle.com/UltimateAccess and click on the subscribe link. Once you have completed your purchase, please visit the iTunes store and cancel your San Francisco Chronicle App for iPad and iPhone subscription to avoid double billing by iTunes. If you choose not to upgrade your San Francisco Chronicle App for iPad and iPhone subscription, it will not impact your ability to access the San Francisco Chronicle app for iPad and iPhone.
