Guidance for Data Users

The Census Bureau reports income and poverty estimates from several major national household surveys and programs:

  1. American Community Survey (ACS)
  2. Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP)
  3. Census 2000 long form
  4. Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates Program (SAIPE)
  5. Annual Social and Economic Supplement to the Current Population Survey (CPS ASEC)
