    Thanks to heads up from . There appears that there was a dye added to the Dupont Circle Fountain. It is almost filtered out now. Our crews will be draining the fountain today, then cleaning and refilling tomorrow to make sure it is clear of remnants.

    Today we remember and honor, in the words of General Eisenhower, the "courage, devotion and skill in battle" of those that led the invasion of Normandy 74 years ago, beginning the liberation of Europe. This bas-relief on the World War II Memorial depicts the D-Day landing.

    The restoration of the Lockkeeper's House is finished! If you think it looks fantastic from the outside, wait until you see the interior! Updates soon on when it will be open to the public.

    Today the Trust for the National Mall takes down the construction fence around the . Plantings in the new plaza and installation of educational exhibits is still in progress. The house will be open to the public soon. Please stay tuned for more details.
