Cochrane Clinical Answers (CCAs) provide a readable, digestible, clinically focused entry point to rigorous research from Cochrane systematic reviews. They are designed to be actionable and to inform decision making at the point of care. Each Cochrane Clinical Answer contains a clinical question, a short answer, and an opportunity to ‘drill down’ to the evidence from relevant Cochrane reviews. Tony Aburrow

Tony Aburrow, Associate Editor, joined Wiley in September 2014 to work on the publication of the Cochrane Library and Cochrane derivatives, including Cochrane Clinical Answers. Tony's background is in digital publishing, having previously edited online resources for British Gymnastics and currently publishes the Evidence Aid website, produced in partnership with Wiley and Cochrane.  

Dr Jane Burch

Jane Burch, Editor, joined the Cochrane Editorial Unit in March 2014 to work on the production of Cochrane Clinical Answers. Jane worked as a systematic reviewer for 10 years, producing and disseminating the results of intervention reviews, and reviews of diagnostic and prognostic tests. During this time, Jane also produced critical abstracts for the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE).

Karen Pettersen

Karen Pettersen, Editor, joined John Wiley & Sons Ltd. in January 2012 to work on the development of Cochrane Clinical Answers. Karen has extensive experience of systematic reviewing, having been involved with the BMJ Publishing Group’s EBM journal, Clinical Evidence, since its inception in 1999.

Dr Sera Tort

Sera Tort, Clinical Editor, joined the Cochrane Editorial Unit in July 2013 to work on Cochrane Clinical Answers. Sera has been involved with Cochrane since 2002, when she started working at the Iberoamerican Cochrane Centre as a Managing Editor and Joint Co-ordinating Editor of the Lung Cancer Group, among other projects. Sera worked for several years as a family doctor before joining Cochrane.
