East Cliff Brewing Company produces distinctive British style ales, complementing the wide ranging locally brewed beer styles readily available from Santa Cruz’s growing and vibrant craft brewing community. Specifically, we focus on crafting balanced session ales based on the multitude of styles of the British Isles, conditioning and serving them in our taproom in authentic, traditional cask (not keg) fashion.

Maintaining Santa Cruz’s unique character while carrying over the “public house” atmosphere, our taproom is a neighborhood gathering place for friends, families and colleagues.

Our beer is made in the traditional British fashion that uses the gentle carbonation that occurs naturally from the fermentation process. ECBC beer is not pressurized with carbon dioxide, like most American beers.
