The drama was renewed for a 16-episode second season — with a new showrunner — after the prequel series was a decent, if not great, performer during its rookie run on Mondays after The Voice. The drama's status as a cost-effective co-production between...

Nicknamed “The Italian Superman,” Sammartino was the second-ever WWE Champion, defeating Buddy Rogers at Madison Square Garden for the belt. Of course in those days, the pro-wrestling promotion was not called “WWE.”

Sammartino went on to hold the title for nearly eight years — by far the longest reign ever. The way wrestling storylines are written these days, that mark will never be eclipsed.

The Top Uses of Surfaris’ “Wipe Out” In Movies

Wipe out by the Surfaris is such a well known song that once it hits people either start grooving or switch the station. More often than not people will play it when they want to have a good time and just need a good, grooving song to dance to or to use as a background to a party. It might be an old song but it’s something that people can get behind and admit is a good song. It doesn’t have too many lyrics and it’s not the most popular song among younger crowds but for those of us that

The Top Five Jon Favreau Movie Roles of His Career

Jon Favreau is kind of a surprise because you wouldn’t initially expect him to be both a director and an actor. He started out as the latter but went smoothly, it seems, into the former. It would be honest enough to say that he excels at both since he knows the game inside and out and can work it to his advantage. He’s also had some great roles as both a director and an actor throughout his career and has put up some stellar performances that some might argue with but are still in my mind some of his best

The Top Uses of A Tribe Called Quest Songs in Movies or TV

A Tribe Callled Quest was considered to be one of the most popular rap groups in the 1990’s and was also one of the most successful during the same time. They weren’t known for sticking together for long periods of time but did come together for a few reunions before finally hanging it up in 2016. Their music was more of an alternative rap that arced away from the other music of the time and delivered a much more positive beat that differentiated them from the rest of their genre. A lot of people knew about the group but likely

Five Things You Didn’t Know about Johanna Braddy

Johanna Braddy is still a relative newcomer to the acting industry, but she’s made a lot of headway since coming into her own as an actor. She’s taken on roles that would get her known among various fan bases but perhaps not as mainstream as she’d like. Of course it’s all a matter of perspective in how far a person wants to go with their career and how much they’ll put into it. She seems to be one of those folks that would gladly put everything into it as much as she can in order to get a little further.

Michigan Meteorologist On-Air Rants To Coworkers Who Complain About All The Cold Weather

As a meteorologist in Michigan right now you would think that it’d be kind of depressing having to tell everyone that it’s going to be cold outside, again. But this guy’s rant to his coworkers that continually complain about the cold weather could have been done at a different time really. It might very well be cold but what other people think shouldn’t be the defining factor to this guy’s mood. Honestly he probably gets calls just like any other meteorologist about how he’s to blame for the weather. Ridiculous as that is it seems that these folks that do

‘The Americans’ Review: ‘Mr. and Mrs. Teacup’ Mixes Joy and Pain with Distinct Potency, as an Old Friend Returns
[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “The Americans” Season 6, Episode 4, “Mr. and Mrs. Teacup.”]

Who thought a montage involving Paige making out and Philip line dancing could be so heartbreaking?

Thus is the power of “The Americans,” as showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg almost simultaneously doled out pleasure and pain in a bone-chilling fourth episode. Philip (Matthew Rhys) clung to his simple pleasures while he could, retreating to his favorite country bar to kick off his boots with coworkers before snacking on potato chips over a pile of mounting bills. Paige’s (Holly Taylor) date turned from a fun night out to a professional conflict as she stared at her sleeping beau’s valuable ID badge. And then there’s Elizabeth (Keri Russell): so close to getting what she needs, only to be left with nothing yet again.

She’s tired, and we’re scared. Much like joy and sorrow are contradictory emotions, each
