Orientation and O Week

The JCU Orientation Program runs over a six-week period with activities commencing the week before Orientation Week (O Week) and finishing in Week 4. It is important to attend orientation activities as research shows that JCU students have a 17% increase in success rates if they participate in these transition activities.

This is a chance to get to know other students, lecturers, and support staff, as well as attend information sessions and join in with some fun activities. Orientation information is not repeated in lectures, so don’t miss out on important information about how to succeed at university.

Orientation Week

O Week runs from 16-20 July 2018, the week before teaching starts in Study Period 2 (SP2).

The Orientation Program will be available online closer to the date.

It is a good idea to be prepared before starting university.
