Previously senior VP at MTV & MTV2.

Michele Megan Dix has been tapped to take on the newly created position of senior VP of music & talent development for VH1. In addition, she will contribute to the MTV Networks Music Group development process, where she will explore new projects for CMT, MTV and MTV2.

Dix reports to Michael Hirschorn, executive VP of original programming and production for VH1 in her primary role with VH1, and Brian Graden, president of entertainment for the MTV Networks Music Group in her group role. She will remain based in New York City.

Dix joined MTV in 1995 as director of music talent and was promoted to VP of music and talent programming in 1996. She moved to development in 2000 and in 2001 she was given the responsibility of overseeing the scheduling team for MTV2. In 2003 she was promoted to senior VP of music and talent programming for MTV & MTV2.

Dix has co-created specials and shows such as “mtvICON,” “MTV’s Ultimate Mash-Ups,” “Snoop Dogg’s “Doggy Fizzle Televizzle.”
