Comments about the proposed amendment will be accepted until 5:00 pm, April 20, 2018, and should be directed to Jennie Proctor at the Office of Community Development (cdbg@co.washington.or.us). Proposed change: The description of planned activities for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program is being revised to include an additional HOME funded housing project. HOME funding in amount of approximately $159,312 will be provided to Luke-Dorf for the development of its Clover Court housing project to be developed in Aloha at the corner of 170th and Bany. The Clover Court project proposes construction of six units (3 duplexes with six studio units) of affordable housing for extremely low-income, chronically homeless adults. In addition, construction will include a community room on site that will provide space for laundry facilities, office and community space. The applicant for the federal funds is Luke-Dorf, a provider of mental health services throughout the county. The parcel of land is located in unincorporated Washington County in an established residential neighborhood. The 1.29 acre site is currently undeveloped. The project is near public transportation and amenities. The HOME funds will be used for predevelopment costs as well as construction costs associated with the housing. If construction bids come in at a higher amount, additional funds may be considered by the Policy Advisory Board and would not warrant republishing the amendment because the scope of the project will not have changed. Additional information may be obtained from the Washington County Office of Community Development, 328 West Main Street, Suite 100, MS 7, Hillsboro, OR 97123, phone (503) 846-8814.
