    West Virginia residents are being arrested by Secret Service outside the Embassy of Denmark in NW DC where they are protesting a Danish company called Rockwool, that plans to build an insulation plant near Harpers Ferry. They say Rockwool is a polluter.

    Mayor Bowser launched her Potholepooza campaign today at 14th and Maryland Ave NE after a record 7500+ calls to DDOT about potholes, more than twice the number of calls last year. They say 22 thousand filled so far in 2019. The city is also launching the redesign of Maryland Ave.

    Family and friends of North Carolina Artist Corrina Miehl, murdered during a work trip to DC, have regularly attended the trial that went to the jury today. A drifter, El Hadji Toure, prosecutors say raped, tortured and murdered her, then went on a $2300 ATM shopping spree.

    DC Councilmember Jack Evans was apologizing again tonight for alleged influence peddling. This time to the DC Democratic State Committee, of which he is national committeeman. 23 members of the group have signed a letter calling for him to resign his committee post.

    A contrite Jack Evans told reporters this morning he wishes he has done things differently and apologized to the council, his constituents and to the city for alleged influence peddling. Council chairman MENDELSON said the council will vote on a “reprimand” of Evans.
