CLASS 6A VOLLEYBALL PLAYOFFS, FIRST ROUND FACTS AND FIGURES
The first round of the Class 6A state volleyball playoffs begins Wednesday at 16 sites around Oregon. The first-round winners advance to Saturday’s second round, played at the site of the lowest seed. The eight second-round winners qualify for the state tournament, Nov. 3-4 at Liberty High School.
Central Catholic is the defending champion. The Rams defeated Clackamas in the state final. The top seed in this year’s tournament is Southridge. The Skyhawks are the first team to win an outright Metro League title other than Jesuit since 1998.
