Principal who quit owned up to his error (Letter to the editor)

David Wood did it right.  The former principal of Access Academy admitted his mistake and offered to resign ("Portland principal who abruptly quit was under investigation for forging teacher evaluations," May 19).

I wish more people at the federal level would follow his example.  If you goof up, take responsibility and accept the natural consequences.  That's what we hope to teach our kids.

Thank you, Mr. Wood, for demonstrating how to do this.
