Police seek witnesses to stabbing on Gresham MAX platform

Gresham police are searching for anyone who witnessed a stabbing on a Gresham MAX platform last week. 

Police say a man stabbed another man shortly before 6 p.m. Friday on the westbound MAX platform at Northeast 162nd Avenue and East Burnside Street. The two men got into a fight while aboard the train, then moved to the platform, KATU reported

The suspect got back onto the westbound MAX train after the stabbing, police said. 

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage to identify the suspect. 

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the fight or the stabbing call the Gresham police tip line at  503-618-2719.
