Pedestrian shoots at car after being hit near PSU, police say

A pedestrian shot at a car after being hit while crossing the street near Portland State University on Tuesday afternoon, police said. 

Witnesses told police that a white four-door sedan hit the pedestrian as the pedestrian crossed Southwest 10th Street near Mill Street, Portland police spokesman Sgt. Chris Burley said. 

The pedestrian fired one gunshot at the car, then got into a red sedan and followed the white car, Burley said. 

Portland police and campus police responded to a report of gunfire at about 1:30 p.m., Burley said. No one was injured in the crash or shooting, but officers found evidence that a gun had been fired. 

No suspect has been identified.
