Freda Ceaser
Freda Ceaser joins Central City Concern's executive leadership team as director of equity and inclusion. The nonprofit organization founded in 1979 provides housing, healthcare and employment in Portland for people experiencing homelessness and poverty.
Ceaser has been a member of the staff for 13 years and in the new role will move CCC's initiatives forward promoting diversity and inclusion as well as addressing racial and cultural equity in CCC’s services and as an employer.

Prosper Portland (formerly the Portland Development Commission) welcomes Gustavo (Tavo) J. Cruz, Jr. to his new position as the elected Chair of the Board of Commissioners. Prosper Portland commissioners are nominated by Portland’s Mayor and approved by the City Council. Cruz has been a commissioner since 2015, and brings more than 30 years of business experience and law practice to the board. His law practice focuses on commercial finance and other business transactions.

Krishna Balasubramani
The Oregon state senate has voted to approve Krishna Balasubramani's reappointment to the SAIF board of directors for a second term. Balasubramani was initially appointed to the board in September 2013 - member terms are four years.
Balasubramani is a partner in the firm Sather, Byerly and Holloway, LLP, in Portland, and represents employers in the Pacific Northwest in employment-related matters, including wrongful termination lawsuits, administrative complaints to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and workers' compensation cases.
