Thousands flock to see colorful skies at International Balloon Fiesta

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - More hot air balloons took to the skies above Albuquerque for day three of the International Balloon Fiesta.

High winds forced the festivities to start a little late Monday morning, but once crews were given the green light the skies started to fill up.

Meanwhile, pilots in the America's Challenge Gas Balloon Race are racking up the miles.

The competitors launched Saturday from Balloon Fiesta Park with no issue.

Gas balloons are much different than the hot air balloons. They use helium or hydrogen to get off the ground and can travel for days at a time.
