Ajon Brandon Webster, 27, is accused of fatally shooting Adrian Gilberto Berg on Aug. 6, according to court records. Police have said Berg was shot while he attended an event at a Gresham park.

Webster was jailed Tuesday afternoon, and he's being held without bail. He was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service.

KOIN-TV first reported about the allegations Wednesday morning.

Gresham police previously said Berg, who was a 32-year-old Portland resident, got in a verbal altercation with a man while attending a social event at Pat Pfeifer Park. The suspect reportedly shot Berg and left, according to police.

Police said Berg died that night at a hospital.

The altercation reportedly happened near the park's southeast boundary, according to police.
