How to gain weight correctly
I am a 55 year old male. I workout 3 times a week (light cardio and traditional weights). I have a very healthy lifestyle. I'm 6ft 170 lbs. I would like to bulk up a little - maybe to 180 lbs. My question is: How do you put on weight without it going straight to your stomach/midsection?

RE: How to gain weight correctly
It is all about your macros. You have to really break them down. Bottom line, it is calorie count. That is the big one. But, the next step is macros. Proteins. Fats. Carbs. You have to balance those. It is pretty easy to do...on paper. But it is hard to stick to in reality. It is a philosophical shift in how you eat. I would increase your workouts to maybe four days a week and increase your protein intake. This will help you build muscle. Take a good amino acid to assist as well. But, if you watch your sugars and fats, then you should not see it hit your midsection too much. Feel free to hit me up anytime.
