Regional Organizations & the PoA

The Regional Organizations and the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms (PoA) online resource pages offer  interactive access to the information contained in the Handbook—plus updates.

For interactive, up-to-date information, see the Regional Organizations & the PoA pages.

Regional Measures

The most extensive small arms measures tend to be found at the regional level. The following sections, organized by region, include the full text of significant regional instruments and initiatives, as well as references to publications that review their content and implementation.

Regional organizations play a role in implementing small arms control measures, including those covered by the PoA.
