Storyline

Caveman Tumak is banished from his savage tribe. He finds a brief home among a group of gentle seacoast dwelling cave people until he is banished from them as well. Missing him, one of their women, Loana leaves with him, deciding to face the harsh prehistoric world with its monsters and volcanos as a couple. Written by Jim Cobb

Goofs

No Pterosaur (winged reptile) would be able to lift up an adult human. To be able to fly, they had to be extremely light-weight, and even the biggest species weighed only about a hundred kilograms. Aside from this, they were mostly fish-eaters or scavengers, so humans would be completely off-menu. Finally, Pterosaurs didn't have the ability to grasp and hold objects with their feet. See more »

It's my childhood formative movie memory.

It's the glorious Raquel running about in a fur bikini. Those legs, that face.

It's a ten. and so's the movie.

Watched it again, now some forty-odd years on and, sentimentality aside, it still remains curiously engrossing. Definitely a strange fish, this slice of dinosaur hokum endures in an intangible way and really, in all honesty, I hope never to put my finger on exactly why.

Just wallow in it's matinée-marvel and it's appeal on many levels, from youthful monster-glee to, ahem, mature appreciation of the 'cast'.
