Rip Hunter

When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, Rip Hunter will desperately try to prevent certain events from happening, by time-traveling; Now Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a desperate group of heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - not only is the planet at stake, but our timeline itself. The Great Question being asked here is can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
Lazy writing. The only reason I gave this a shot was because of a cross series link - 'Invasion' - part of which was The Flash, Arrow, and then this. Became aware of this in advance and thought I would need to see Legends of Tomorrow for it to make any sense. No - I didn't.
'Invasion' didn't need me to have any additional 'Legends' backstory.
Then I just thought I may as well finish it - and went on to let it waste more of my time.
There are some elements that are worth mentioning, in a positive light
There are also some better 'Legend' characters in Season 2, swapping out two very tiresome elements from Season 1, being careful about spoilers, but if you've watched it you might know who I'm referring to. Otherwise it's little more than a pile of stinking garbage.
The series' play on time travel is so poorly executed, and ill thought out, that I think, in addition to some shoddy dialogue and characters, is the main reason this show has, in my estimation, fallen flat on it's stupid face.
