We've updated the Bitesize - Revision app!

The updated BBC Bitesize - Revision app for 14-16 year olds is now available to download to your mobile phone (iOS and Android). The app now includes GCSE Maths (9-1) and GCSE English (9-1) Flashcards (simply 'Edit' your preferences in the 'Menu' to add them to your app). We’ve launched the Bitesize - Revision app for 14-16 year olds across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, giving you Bitesized Flashcards and revision materials, whenever you want, wherever you are.

Download the app now and take brilliant Bitesize revision tools with you everywhere you go.

Select the subjects you want to revise, and specify your exam board so you only ever see stuff that's directly relevant to you

Then get started with flashcards - short summaries of key information, glossaries, videos, audio pieces and interactive infographics

We've also got quizzes so you can test yourself and keep track of how you're doing

What platforms does the app work on?

The app works on Android and iOS mobile phones. It is not designed for use on tablets.

What subjects have Flashcards in the app?

We have created Flashcards for a range of subjects, and we're working hard to add to these as quickly as possible. Right now, there are Flashcards for GCSE English, English Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics; GCSE Numeracy and Welsh for Learners specifically for WJEC students, National 5 English, Biology and Chemistry; Higher English, Biology and Chemistry; and TGAU Rhifedd, Llenyddiaeth Gymraeg (cyn 2015), Llenyddiaeth Gymraeg (2015 ymlaen), Ffiseg, Cemeg, Llenyddiaeth Gymraeg (2015 ymlaen) - nofelau newydd, Cymraeg (2015 ymlaen), Bioleg.

What if there are no Flashcards for my subject?

We're working on creating more Flashcards, and we'll keep you up to date with new developments here. There will be GCSE Computer Science and more English Literature Flashcards coming soon, along with even more for National 4/5, Higher and TGAU. Watch this space! If there are no Flashcards available but your subject is covered on www.bbc.co.uk/Bitesize, you'll be able to see Revision, Test and Video tabs (where they exist), just as you'd see on the website.

Is the BBC Bitesize app free?

Yes! The app is free to download and has NO in-app purchases. The app is from the BBC and will be free, forever.

Who has made the content in the app?

All BBC Bitesize content, whether Study Guide content on the web or in the app, or Flashcards in the app, is created by exam board-specific experts in the relevant curriculum field. We have curriculum authors to write our content, and educational consultants to check it, and we always make sure that it follows the National Curriculum and the appropriate exam boards.
