Critical Projects

The need for these critical projects on the National Mall are sizeable and evolving with aging infrastructure and the rapidly increasing number of visitors. These projects range from restoration of iconic monuments to basic infrastructure repair and upgrading and need significant funding to complete. There are other projects for site enrichment, education, and volunteerism.
