Rebecca Livia Karp and Anik Lise Côté were married Aug. 12 at Gould Hill Farm in Contoocook, N.H. Rabbi Bernard H. Mehlman, the paternal great-uncle of Ms. Karp, led the ceremony.

Ms. Karp (left), 35, is a teacher at the Derryfield School, a sixth- through 12th-grade independent day school in Manchester, N.H. She graduated cum laude from Brandeis and received a master’s degree in art history from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

She is a daughter of Lynne E. Karp and Jeffrey M. Karp of Potomac, Md. Ms. Karp’s father is a partner in the Washington office of Sullivan & Worcester, a Boston law firm. Her mother is a special education parent educator at various elementary schools in the Montgomery County Public School district in Maryland.

Ms. Côté, 36, is a physician assistant at Concord Emergency Medical Associates, which is affiliated with Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H. She graduated magna cum laude from Bemidji State University, and received a Ph.D. in immunology from Dartmouth and a master’s in physician assistant studies from the Franklin Pierce University’s physician assistant program in West Lebanon, N.H.

She is a daughter of Lisette P. Côté and Alyre G. Côté of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, in Canada. Her mother is an independent bookkeeper in the Grand Falls area. Her father, who is retired, worked as a pipe fitter throughout Canada.

The couple met in 2013 at a mutual friend’s bachelorette party in Lebanon, N.H.
