Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin Are Wreaking Havoc (Again) in the Sicario 2 Trailer

Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro are together again in the sequel to the 2015 film Sicario, which just dropped its first trailer. In a recent interview with Collider, Brolin called Sicario 2: Soldado a "more severe," "much bigger," and "extremely emotional" film. After watching the first batch of footage, we'd have to agree. The sequel - which unfortunately doesn't see the return of Emily Blunt's Kate Macer - will deal with Matt Graver (Brolin) and Alejandro (del Toro) taking on the cartels, which have started trafficking terrorists into America. The film will hit theaters on June 29, 2018.

Sony Pictures has released the first Sicario 2 trailer for the upcoming sequel Sicario 2: Soldado. The film finds Stefano Sollima (Gomorrah) filling the very big shoes left by director Denis Villeneuve on the first movie, but screenwriter Taylor Sheridan—who also wrote Hell or High Water in addition to the first Sicario—returned to pen the screenplay for a "more severe" sequel. This time around, the drug war has escalated to the point that the cartels are trafficking terrorists across the border, so Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro's characters are asked to intervene and, given the gravity …

Benicio Del Toro is Back in Teaser Trailer for 'Sicario' Sequel 'Soldado'

"You want to see this thing through? I'm going to have to get... dirty." Sony Pictures has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the new thriller Soldado, the sequel to Sicario, Denis Villeneuve's intense thriller set along the Us-Mexico border. The title card of this says it's officially titled Sicario 2: Soldado, and not just Soldado, but either works. Emily Blunt is not back this time, as her story is complete, but Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro are back. In Soldado, the drug war has escalated as the cartels have shifted to trafficking terrorists across the border. Like pretty much all crime thrillers, this has a masked gunman (referencing Heat) and it looks slick, but I'm not sure it's going to be anywhere near as good as Sicario. I'm also a bit let down there is no lead woman in the cast, aside from Catherine Keener as a CIA boss.

Sicario 2: Soldado Trailer Reunites Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro
The wait seems like it was longer than expected, but we finally have the first trailer for Sicario 2: Soldado. The much anticipated follow-up to 2015's surprise smash hit Sicario. The blistering first footage has us very excited, as it reunites original stars Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro.

Previous to the footage arriving online, Brolin had called this sequel both more 'severe' and a lot 'bigger' than that initial outing that introduced his character C.I.A. Agent Matt Graver. Benicio Del Toro now calls it more of a 'really hardcore straight line' and a 'little more complicated'. Del Toro returns to play Graver's 'man on fire' Alejandro as the pair continue to wage a war on drugs.

The first movie was focused mainly on Emily Blunt's F.B.I. agent Kate Macer as she finds herself recruited into an off-the-books DEA task force. Now, Alejandro and

‘Sicario 2: Soldado’ Trailer: Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro Are Back in the “More Severe” Sequel
